Runoff from recent rainfall has caused rises on the Paint Rock River
at Woodville. At this time, the river has crested just below Action
Stage, which is 13 feet. The river will continue to fall through the
day today, alleviating any nuisance flooding concerns during this
At 9 AM Sunday the stage was 12.2 feet. Action Stage is 13.0 feet.
Flood Stage is 15.0 feet. The river is forecast to continue to fall
to 11.8 feet later this afternoon. At 12.0 feet, some minor overflow
of lowland begins.
All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property from rising river levels.
