This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible across the South
Plains, Rolling Plains and Southeast Panhandle late this
afternoon into early this evening. Damaging wind gusts to 70 mph
and golfball size hail will be the primary threats with the most
intense storms.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday
Additional thunderstorm formation is possible Tuesday night and
there will be a marginal risk of severe storms.
Otherwise for Wednesday through Sunday, thunderstorm activity will
be much more limited, primarily confined to parts of New Mexico to
our west. Storms forming over the higher terrain in New Mexico
could move into the southwest Panhandle or extreme western South
Plains on any particular day, but probabilities for hazardous
weather are low.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation may be requested late this afternoon or early
evening.
