.DISCUSSION...A strong storm system will continue to move through
the region today with widespread rainfall for much of the area. Temperatures
will be much cooler today with mid 60s to low 70s across the 
South Dakota plains with mid 50s in the Black Hills. Minimum 
relative humidities will range from 30 to 75 percent in the 
afternoon. Driest conditions will exist in northwest South Dakota
where rain will end by late morning. Winds out of the northwest
will be strong today with gusts up to 40-45 mph possible.

afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture

indicate that the probability of a fire occurrence is low.
Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be performed 
with reasonable safety precautions.
The outlook for Monday afternoon, The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category to moderate category.
